La individuación como macrosociología de la sociedad singularista

Abstract

This article first focuses on the significant increase of the conception of the Individual in order to understand contemporary societies, because of the structural process of singularization, while emphasizing some impasses present in sociology to study the singular. In this context, the article presents and develops the ways in which it is possible to use individuation as a study strategy to give account, on the one hand, of the most relevant trials in a specific society, and on the other hand, to analyze how the individuals constitute themselves as singular subjects.

Este artículo parte por reconocer la creciente importancia del individuo para la comprensión de las sociedades actuales a causa de la expansión de un proceso estructural de singularización, al mismo tiempo que subraya ciertos impasses presentes en la sociología a la hora de estudiar la singularidad. En este contexto, y una vez formuladas una serie de críticas a estas vías, el artículo presenta y desarrolla las maneras en que es posible desde la individuación dar cuenta, por un lado, a escala del individuo, de las principales pruebas de un tipo de sociedad, y, por el otro, analizar concretamente las maneras como en este marco los individuos se singularizan.
